Our story

Our story took a decisive turn in 1993. A true love affair led us to return to the land of our ancestors. We, Joëlle and Yves, acquired an old barn and the surrounding land. For two years, we dedicated ourselves fully to its renovation, transforming it into our home.

At the same time, a dream began to take shape: to create a campsite that reflected our values, deeply rooted in this region we love so much.

In 1999, the project became a reality. Construction began: planting, creating pitches, developing roads and utilities, building the sanitary facilities, the playground, and the reception areas. Little by little, the campsite emerged.

July 1, 2001, marked the official opening of Azun Nature. We welcomed our first guests with as much enthusiasm as apprehension. The adventure began, modestly but with the firm conviction that we had made the right choice. That same year, our first chalet was added to our accommodation options.

Over the seasons, the campsite has grown while remaining true to its original spirit. New chalets were built, followed by a small hamlet of all-wood accommodations, warm and perfectly integrated into its surroundings. A wellness area was also created to offer our guests moments of relaxation with mountain views.

These developments have gradually allowed us to welcome travelers year-round and share with them the beauty of the Val d'Azun, its unspoiled landscapes, and its art of living.

In 2021, a new chapter began with the arrival of Fabien, our son, at the helm of the family business. While preserving the spirit of the place, he has brought a new dynamic: the creation of eco-designed cabins, the development of more sustainable accommodation options, the creation of a new playground for children, and the launch of significant energy-efficiency renovations.

Among these projects, the renovation of fifteen accommodations in our Authentic range exemplifies our ongoing commitment to enhancing comfort while minimizing our environmental impact.

Today, the face of d’Azun Nature has evolved, but its core values ​​remain unchanged: to help you discover the wonders of the Val d'Azun and share our passion for this exceptional and unspoiled region!
