Our eco-responsible commitments
Since the creation of Azun Nature, we have paid particular attention to the environment that surrounds us in the development, amenities and facilities of our campsite.
In 2014, the campsite was recognized as an LPO refuge; in 2015, it was the first campsite to obtain the Esprit Parc National label and since 2016 the Clé Verte International ecological label, to reward our efforts in terms of ecology, environmental protection and biodiversity.
We invite you to discover here the details of what we do on a daily basis to limit our impact on the environment.
Reduce water consumption
- The toilets and chalets are equipped with water savers (presto system, water reducers on all taps and showers).
- We encourage our customers to drink tap water, this avoids consuming bottled water and creating additional waste.
Save energy
- In the rentals and the toilets are equipped with LED bulbs. The electrical equipment (refrigerator, oven, etc.) of the chalets are gradually replaced by equipment in the economic category A.
- The common lighting is equipped with twilight bulbs, low consumption and presence detectors.
- The radiators are equipped with temperature regulators.
Maintain properly
- All the cleaning products we use have an ecological certification (ecolabel).
- We collect all our green waste to make compost that we reuse for our plantations.
- We do not use chemical fertilizers but natural fertilizers (obtained by composting putrescible waste).
- Weeding is done manually and by thermal burner.
Reduce waste
- The campsite has two areas dedicated to selective sorting (Household Waste, Plastics-Cardboard-Newspapers, Glass, Batteries and Compost).
- Hazardous waste and used cooking oils are stored separately, collected, then taken to the valley recycling center.
- We have made two composters available on the site as well as Bio buckets (compost buckets in each chalet) specific to the collection of organic waste (kitchen) on which are indicated what can be put in them.
Landscaping our environment to preserve biodiversity
- More than 300 plants of various local species that fit into our environment.
- Plantations that require little or no water.
- Installation of birdhouses
Consume and buy local
- We promote local products and encourage our customers to go directly to local producers.
- In our small grocery store, we favor local and organic products.
Welcoming our customers…
- Our brochures and mailing paper are made from recycled paper.
- We encourage email exchanges.
- We offer "nature" hikes with mountain professionals from the valley.
- We inform our customers about good practices to adopt at the campsite and in the mountains in order to make the most of their vacation while limiting their impact on the environment as much as possible.
- Vehicle traffic is prohibited from 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. in the campsite.
- We offer on-site rental of electrically assisted bicycles.
- We seek your opinions and suggestions in order to improve our environmental approach.
